NGR ECO-Twin 220 — PET Extrusion System

A conical co-rotating twin-screw extruder designed for processing PET regrind of low bulk density, with extremely low energy consumption combined with a very gentle melting process. The ideal companion to P:REACT for complete bottle-to-bottle recycling.

How it works

Efficiency through Conical Co-Rotating Twin-Screw Extrusion

The ECO-Twin technology combines maximum energy efficiency with gentle material processing. Thanks to its intelligent design, plastic regrind is processed precisely, stably, and with minimal friction.

The extruder drive is equipped with variable speed control, allowing the throughput of the system to be perfectly adapted to the respective processing requirements.

A minimal-friction design and short process unit keep melt temperatures consistently low with remarkably low specific energy consumption.

Precise twin-motor control

Two synchronous motors detect torque fluctuations accurately for stable feeding of low-bulk-density regrind.

Effective degassing

Highly effective melt degassing with two process-connected venting ports and a vacuum level down to ≤ 1 mbar.

Flexible additive feeding

Direct injection of liquid and granular additives during processing.

Robust & monitored

A compact beveloid gearbox with optional condition monitoring supports planned maintenance.

User-friendly interface

A 21.5" HMI display with Siemens PLC control and multi-level access protection.

ECO-Twin 220 venting

ECO-Twin 220 venting

The two process-technically connected degassing ports are equipped with generously dimensioned degassing attachments, which can be connected via a flange connection to a high-performance vacuum system. The size of the connection flange is 160 mm (Flange Type 01 PM16 / DN 150). The entire degassing system of the extruder is designed for a vacuum level of ≤ 1 mbar.
