Flexo Wash build automatic cleaning equipment for printing — the machines that clean aniloxes, press parts, plates, sleeves, screens and gravure cylinders. The company is Danish and family-run, and their own account of the origin is that the first unit was built from an old dish washer in 1989.
The commercial argument is straightforward: cleaning happens either way, and doing it by hand costs press time, consumes solvent and produces inconsistent results. Automating it turns an unmeasured cost into a controlled one.
