The Polytest Line is COLLIN's measurement and quality-control range — the instruments that tell you whether a polymer, a recyclate or a finished film is actually within spec.
It splits into three groups: melt viscosity measurement (rheometers and online viscometers), contamination and gel measurement (manual and automated pressure filter test), and optical film inspection.

Multi-Inspection
comprehensive quality control Optical, mechanical & rheological melt or film inspectionThe COLLIN multi-inspection convinces by its wide range of application – the multi-purpose test device measures optically, mechanically and rheologically, depending on the customer requirement. The line has a modular design. It consists of a chill roll unit, which is followed by a roller conveyor for optical and mechanical film inspection including film winder and an upstream rheological measuring section as option.

Automated Pressure Filter Test
quality control of polymers Fully-automated, standardized, onlineThe automated pressure filter test is used for determining quality differences in a polymer caused by agglomerates, insufficiently dispersed fillers resp. contaminations also in the bypass directly at the production extruder. For this version, the screens are automatically changed. The melted thermoplastic polymer flows via a filter screen. Agglomerates, contaminations and other insufficiently dispersed resp.

Film Inspection FI
high-quality inline film inspection system For detecting optical errorsThe COLLIN film inspection system is an extremely high-quality test line, which enables a definition of up to 10 error classes by means of 14 error criteria. The line detects optical errors in a running flat or blown film. Between cooling and take-off rolls, a LED light source as well as a line camera are installed. Thus, not dispersed defects in the film can be detected and evaluated.
- Use as stand-alone system or integrated in the extrusion process.
- Numerous adjustment possibilities of the error parameters.
- 24 hours operation is possible.

Rheometer
Rheometers serve in determining the melt viscosity, thus they are an essential element of the permanent quality control during polymer processing. The Mono Online Rheometer MOR is used for measuring a viscosity curve on polymers. The viscosity is measured by using a melt flow which flows through a round capillary. The melt is either directly taken out of the extruder or as a side flow.

Online Viscometer
Online quality control Precise, compact, easy handlingThe online viscometer is used for continuous control of the melt viscosity of a production extruder. Two melt pumps with only one drive guarantee a permanent melt flow. The COLLIN Polytest Line measuring device is not only characterized by its compact design but also by flexibility and the closed material flow. Moreover, there is no waste production.

Manual Pressure Filter Test
easy, safe material test Continuous, user-friendly, reproducibleThe manual COLLIN pressure filter test is used for determining quality differences in a polymer caused by agglomerates, insufficiently dispersed fillers resp. contaminations. A filter cassette in pre-heating position enables a quick and clean manual filter change without extruder stop. During the filter change, the melt is diverted via a bypass valve in front of the filter.

Pressure Filter Test AFT MP-E
Autosampler Automated pressure filter test with autosampler The fully-automated Collin pressure filter test with autosampler enormously reduces the down times, the personnel costs and enables high reproducibility. With the unique, automated material and screen changing system, up to seven material samples are tested one after the other – without system stop.

Film Inspection COFICOS
The COFICOS line is suitable for tests under adverse conditions close to a production line. The flat film die is extended into a closed test room with light source and camera. Thus, no foreign particles appear on the test film. The flat film line is suitable for an optical film inspection for standard polymers with a max. film thickness of approx.100 µm.
