Pilot Line — what it covers

The Pilot Line sits between laboratory trials and full production. These are the machines used to prove a formulation or a film structure at a scale that genuinely predicts plant behaviour, without committing a production line to the experiment.
The range covers high-performance T series extruders, air- and water-cooled blown film lines, flat film lines with dies and feedblocks, MDO stretching, calendering lines, winders and turret winders — plus module lines that combine several processes inline.

Blown Film Lines P Professional (air-cooled)

High-Performance Extruder T Torque
flexible & innovativeThe Extruder T can be described as high-performance extruder or high-speed machine. Because this series has all advantages of the Extruder P Professional and provides an essentially higher output due to the increased speed while simultaneously achieving a high drive torque. Especially the development of the screw geometry and the feed for the high-speed machine requires enormous technical competence.

COLLIN offers laboratory and pilot lines for stretching films for a wide range of thermoplastic materials and compounds. Blown Film Dies and Cooling Rings
Blown Film Dies Multi-layer dies for 2 up to 13 layers are suitable for different number of layers. For these processes, Collin delivers dies with radial spiral mandrel distributors, moreover, different mandrels and matrices are available.

Perfect for Upscaling Different designs of roll groupsFlat film lines with two rolls are mainly used for the production of films. Flat film lines in the pilot sector are custom-made. Depending on the customer requirement, different designs of roll groups can be offered.

Module lines
Module lines are used in the packaging sector for the production of multi-polymer compounds, e. g. with carrier materials. The system allows the integration of different modules such as flat film, blown film and calendering unit as well as miscellaneous additional equipment, e. g. Corona pre-treatment or additional unwinders.

Blown Film Lines P (water-cooled)
These lines are designed for the production of films. The radial spiral mandrel distributor provides an accurate thickness distribution, the vertical extrusion in a water cooling ring guarantees optimal transparency of films.
